Zung made blueberry pancakes and bacon for breakfast.

He took Dave and Tessa to Mt. Evans. They left at a leisurely 11 o’clock.

I stayed home with Susie and did some work. I work from home. I have a blog about breastfeeding, Breastfeeding Confidential, and a YouTube channel. I also do freelance writing

Dave and Tessa enjoyed the views.

Dave and Tessa were completely wowed by how beautiful our mountains are. And they thought Mt. Evans was spectacular. Dave even made the picture of him and Tessa in front of the Mt. Evans sign his cover photo on Facebook.

Sunday traffic from the mountains back to Denver is usually a nightmare. So I was very surprised when they were home by 4:30. It may have been because it was a holiday weekend and most people weren’t going to come back until tomorrow, Labor Day. It may have been Zung’s mad driving skills. We’ll never know.

I was in their room because that is where my sewing machine is and I was making some alterations on one of the dresses I bought yesterday.

I loved their excitement about seeing Mt. Evans in all of it’s 14,130 feet elevation glory.

I made a roast chicken for dinner. I have a fail-proof way of making roast chicken that comes out perfect every time. I have a Pampered Chef stoneware pan and bowl that I cover it with. They don’t sell that any longer but I think their baker set would produce the same results. I put the chicken in the pan, salt and pepper it and drizzle it with olive oil. I cover it with the bowl and put it in the oven at 400° for two hours. It comes out perfectly brown and crispy and fall off the bone, melt in your mouth tender. It is the easiest meal ever to prepare.

Tessa and I dressed for dinner.

I wore my Louboutins but Tessa wanted to wear them so we switched. We wear the same size shoe. In the above picture Tessa has on the Louboutins.

We had drinks on the porch swing.

It was a nice sunset.

After dinner we sat in the living room chatting. We turned in early because we had an early start tomorrow morning.

We were going to Vegas, baby!
