Over the years I have tried many yummy drinks in Mexico. Here are some of my favorites and some I am going to try when I am there in TEN days!
Havana rum and coke or just about anything. The Siete is the best.
It’s good neat as well.
There is the ever popular Margarita. Not being a fan of tequila, this is not on my list of must haves.
The Riviera Maya is good, as long as it is not made to sweet. It has Midori, Orange Juice and Grenadine and it is layered.
A mudslide is a blended drink that has Kahlua, vodka, Baily’s and cream. I call it a milkshake for grown-ups.
I also love the Coco Loco. It is another blended drink made with rum, coconut cream and milk.
There is the ever popular Mojito.
My favorite bartender, Daniel, makes a variation that I requested, a Cucumber Mojito. He purees cucumber with the rum and then makes it like a regular Mojito. It’s not as sweet and it’s very refreshing.
The Blue Hawaii is pretty but was blah.
I’ve had a drink recommended called a Silk Stocking. It has Tequila, Creme de Cacao, Grenadine, Cream, and Cinnamon.
An Acapulco Cream has Tequila, Cinnamon, Orange Juice, and Coconut Cream.
If you have a great drink, let me know in the comment section.
