Final Vacation Dinner & A Show

Three weeks from today we leave for our Family Vacation 2011 at Excellence Riviera Cancun!

In the mean time, I will finish 60th Birthday Vacation 2007.

For our final vacation dinner we chose L’Atelier, the gourmet restaurant. When we ordered wine, he asked, “red or white?” He brought us three bottles to choose from. We really enjoy the Mexican wines and since we can’t find them at home we often order those.

We were brought an amuse bouche. I ordered the salmon appetizer and Zung got the lobster appy. I chose the lamb for an entrée and Zung ordered the medallions of fish in lasagna. He said it was very good. It was layers of different fish, no pasta. It was another great meal.

I can’t remember what we had for dessert, but at some point during our vacations we had these desserts.

After dinner we had energy to go to the show! We got to the theatre and ordered drinks. I had a kir royale.

Zung had a Margarita.

It was Magic Show night. At one point the magician brought me up on stage and did a trick with newspaper and water. I watched him really closely. My son, Nicholas, dabbled in rudimentary magic when he was younger. I know it’s just distraction and sleight of hand. But I couldn’t figure out how he did it.

I was glad I chose to wear that dress though.

Our evening had come to an end. While we still had breakfast, lunch and beach time, we couldn’t deny it any longer. Our vacation was coming to an end.
